About Our Shop…
All Eagle’s Neat Forge blades are crafted from high carbon steel, which is known for being durable and having the ability to remain sharp after rigorous use.
All of our blade-steel is made from recycled materials i.e coil springs, leaf springs, ferrier’s rasps, or other recycled tools.
I take a lot of pride in this approach as it pays homage to the earliest blacksmiths that were in this area. Being out in the Appalachian backwoods, which was really considered the frontier until the very late 1800’s, blacksmiths often couldn’t get the materials they needed to make tools so they had to use the leftovers from broken tools that were brought to them. Sustainability before it was cool, those Blacksmiths had a real “reuse and recycle” type of mindset. I strive to continue that legacy, taking junk out of the junkyards and turning it into something unique, useable, and cool.
In addition to blades we also make handcrafted jewellery items (copper bracelets, brooches, hairpins, etc.) and home goods (various hooks, toilet paper holders, flint and steel sets, etc.)

More About Our Artist…
By middle school, I found himself drawing complete knife diagrams, and later desired to bring my art to life. In 2020, I started the hobby of blacksmithing and would later open my own business.
In the beginning, being self-taught, learning through books and experimenting with the craft, I decided to join an ABANA (Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North American) guild where I met other talented and wisened smiths who shared their knowledge with me.

And I didn’t stop there…
I continued seeking growth at John C Campbell Folk School in Murphy, NC. Through dedication, preparation, and years of practice. I now wish to share with the world my talent and love for blacksmithing via Eagle’s Nest Forge.
About our Mission…
Off-Season Activities of Our Blacksmith

During the off-season, our blacksmith embarks on a meaningful journey to Japan. His mission is multifaceted, as he combines his passion for craftsmanship with his dedication to faith and community service.
Teaching and Mentorship
In collaboration with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), he partners with a local international Christian school where he teaches handicrafts and outdoor skills. This engagement provides students with practical skills while fostering their creativity and appreciation for traditional crafts.
Art Outreach and Witnessing
Simultaneously, he participates in a local art outreach program. Here, he utilizes his craftsmanship to engage with the Japanese public, offering a unique perspective on Christianity through art. This initiative allows him to connect with people on a personal level, sharing his faith and cultural heritage through the universal language of art.
Building Relationships in the Blacksmithing Community
Understanding the significance of cultural exchange and community building, our blacksmith also focuses on establishing relationships within the Japanese blacksmithing community. By doing so, he aims to create a dialogue that transcends cultural boundaries, sharing the gospel with a demographic that appreciates the artistry and tradition of blacksmithing both in Japan and in America.
These efforts not only enrich his own experiences and knowledge of the craft, but also contribute positively to the communities he interacts with, showcasing the harmonious blend of skill, faith, and cultural appreciation.
