Congratulations on your purchase of a knife from Eagle’s Nest Forge! To make your knife last for generations here’s some care tips:
-Leave a light coating of oil on your knife, I always use mineral oil to stay food-safe, but any high quality oil will work.
-Keep your blade dry and do not store it in a sheath wet as this will cause rust to start to oxidize. Do not store any knife long-term in the sheath as this would also cause rust to build up on the blade from trapped moisture.
-Keep your blade sharp by using a regular stone, we recommend a grit of 2000 to keep that honed edge.
-Do not wash your knife in a dishwasher.
